Keroro Gunsou episode 77
SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:
Tamama is chilling out when Taruru and Karara crash into the yard. The purpose of their visit is that Karara is ready to marry Tamama. Tamama is not happy to hear this but things immediately start spinning out of control with Momoka providing Tamama and Karara a new home that Karara loves. The platoon, Natsumi, and Fuyuki hear about this marriage and offer their congratulations. Tamama sees himself being distanced from Keroro so he tries to do everything he can to make Karara hate him. It all backfires. However, when Karara’s father arrives in a mecha to take his daughter back home, Tamama feels sorry for Karara and tries to stop her father but fails. Kururu doesn’t and that makes Karara fall in love with Kururu. So for now, she and Taruru return to Keron with her father and a new love in her heart.
Tamama decides that with his failure in battling Karara’s father, he has to improve and change himself. So he decides to seal his Tamama Impact ability. As such, he goes through stages of training where sees Moa and Keroro together acting lovey. To pass each stage, Tamama swallows his rage and jealousy. This results in Tamama becoming an giant. Kururu determines that Tamama needs to use the Tamama Impact to release this pent up energy but Tamama can no longer do so. He soon stops caring and kidnaps Moa, taking her to the top of the Nishizawa Tower. His swallowed jealousy soon creates an anti-gravity field which sends Tamama into space. He’s rescued by the platoon and with Kururu’s help, he’s finally able to release a massive Tamama Impact and return to normal.
Thoughts/Review:
Seeing new Tamama’s bedroom with the pillows labeled “Yes” and “No” really cracked me up. For fun, I decided to see if these were sold and sure enough, they are. *lol*
With Karara’s constant use of the term “Darling” as well as her cap having two small bumps like mini horns, I don’t think it is much of a stretch to say that this is a parody of Urusei Yatsura and the character Lum-chan. I’m glad I picked that series up to watch again.
The second story’s parody of King Kong was amusing. Of course the whole idea of Tamama attempting to eat his jealousy in order to be a better person which in turn turned him into a giant is an amusing idea as well.
So, a fun couple of stories though not much else to say about them.
